Abstract
As soon as we try to analyze the recent dysfonctions in the financial management of workforce into the big firms, the look spontaneously deviates to finance. It seem like as soon as we understand the phenomenon in a historical perspective, we are immediately plunged into the spectrum of neoliberalism. The usual representation oppose the free market deregulated by neoliberal policies from the 1980s and 1990s, to the Keynesian interventionist policies in the post-war economic growth. This research aim to deconstructing this schematic opposition by studying concrete forms of productive process’s management in big firms since the 1960s-1970s. Conducting an archival research in the firm PSA Peugeot Citroën (automobile), we will study the innovations in financial direction at the heart of fordist production regime. Thus, we will highlight the interdependences between the past and the present, to understand the current transformations of capitalism in his entire historical dimension. We will try to understand the recent innovations in financial administration and management in a whole historic perspective, to underscore continuities into these models which are often only viewed from the perspective of a rupture.
